Our history

From one classroom to a full campus

Cloudford School was founded in 1994 by a group of educators who believed children learn best in small, attentive communities. What began as a single primary classroom has grown into a full K–12 campus, without losing the close relationships that defined it from day one.

Today, Cloudford is known for pairing strong academic outcomes with a genuine culture of care — where teachers stay for decades and alumni return to volunteer, mentor, and teach.

Mission & values

What guides us

Curiosity first

We teach students to ask better questions, not just produce correct answers.

Character alongside grades

Integrity, empathy, and resilience are taught with the same intention as mathematics.

Every student known by name

Small class sizes mean no child is a number — teachers notice, and act.

A note from the Principal

"We measure success by the adults our students become."

Welcome to Cloudford School. Whether you're a prospective family or a longtime member of our community, thank you for taking the time to learn about us. Every decision we make — from curriculum design to how we handle a difficult day on the playground — is guided by one question: what will help this child thrive, now and later in life?
